There are three Award categories.

2015 CIO of the Year

This prestigious Award is open to Chief Investment Officers at fiduciary funds or senior investment staff who occupy a similarly titled role and who report directly to a chief executive and/or an investment committee. They will head up the investments business unit, taking responsibility for its day-to-day management. An example of a similar title is: “general manager investments”.

2015 CFO of the Year

This prestigious Award is open to Chief Financial Officers at fiduciary funds or senior managerial staff in a similarly titled role who assume chief financial responsibility for a significant portion of the organisation's day-to-day business, usually reporting to the chief executive. Similarly titled roles include: “financial controller”.

2015 COO of the Year

This prestigious Award is open to Chief Operating Officers at fiduciary funds or senior managerial staff in a similarly titled role who assume operational responsibility for a significant portion of the fund’s day-to-day business, usually reporting to the chief executive.

Criteria

The main criteria for assessment in each Award category is the applicant’s overall performance focusing on the past year but not limited to that time period. The Award Judges look for a detailed demonstration of success in one or more of the following categories and a cognisance of the remaining categories. These categories are:
